Velo
A desk lamp where light control is embedded into physical form. The shade slides vertically, replacing abstract dimmer controls with a direct, bodily gesture. Folded aluminium allows the shade to function as both diffuser and structural element, the same surface that shapes the light also carrying the mechanical load.

About the product
Velo starts as one flat aluminium sheet and becomes a lamp through folds alone. The bends do the work of brackets and housing, so there is little to assemble and little to hide. The shade slides to control the light.
